The scientific developments of the project will be carried out by six research teams: LEMA, ITAS, ITAM- ARCCHIP, Queens University of Belfast, Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei. All of these partners have extensive experience of research and development, and especially of multi-disciplinary research. All of them have been or are presently involved in EU FP5 RTD projects.
Dissemination towards European small- and medium-sized cities is lead by the Conseil d’architecture, d’urbanisme et d’environnement de l’Oise with the help of two groups, the European Ins titute of Cultural Routes and the Organization of World Heritage Cities. These two groups already organise European networks of cities and are recognised as important links in the field of historic cities and cultural tourism. They are advised by ITAM-ARCCHIP, which has expertise in the domain of dissemination of cultural heritage science, especially towards CEEC countries.
Finally, Conseil d’architecture, d’urbanisme et d’environnement de l’Oise and the city of Syracuse represent the views of end-users within the consortium. They will help to specify and validate the research results and will lead a European group of small and medium-sized cities.
