The European Union of Tourist Officers is a membership organisation that brings together the National Associations of Tourist Officers throughout Europe.

Collectively, the National Associations have a membership of some 1800 individual professional tourist officers mainly employed in the public sector or public/private sector partnerships in local, regional and national tourism organisations such as tourist boards, regional and local authorities and project managements.

EUTO exists as a network for tourism professionals to share experience and best practice, and also learn of events, issues and proposals affecting tourism, notably from within the European Community and European Parliament, and to influence, through lobbying and professional opinion, the decision making process into policies related to tourism on a pan-European basis.
